All the Legos put together and displayed by Owen.
Hutto's version of "white" Christmas.
Robert and Papa cooking Christmas breakfast. And I must brag... Robert did the dishes twice on Christmas because there were so many dirty dishes. Thanks BOB!
Christmas morning started early, around 6:30. In fact, Owen was up first, and couldn't wait to check it all out, so he woke Truett up. Truett seemed confused for about the first 10 minutes of looking through all his new toys and gifts. Papa and Carolyn came over--at the crack of dawn-- to celebrate the Santa gifts and eat a little breakfast.
Owen wished for a skateboard and legos, and Truett wished for a nerf gun and a new scooter. Everyone else is into the Wii or Xbox-- but I am trying to keep those out of the house until the boys just "have" to have one. I figure soon enough, video games will be all they ever want to do, so until then, it's games, legos, and anything else hands-on you can imagine.
Owen also got an Easy Bake oven from his friends Mazzy and Artie. Owen and Robert tried to bake the first cake with it, but forgot the nonstick spray. Needless to say, they were not able to get the cake out of the pan. All of it is funny to imagine anyway, since the little cakes are like mouse food, and with Robert--the gigantor-- practically cooking for mice, with a light bulb, it is all quite comical.
Oh well, there are more cake mixes, so they will have to try again.
Owen asked Santa for the Lego camper set, so he could "put it together with mom".
Truett got a head light in his stocking, and here he is after some M&M's, with a bit of a chocolate mustache. Or I guess I should say chocolate goatee?
Truett riding his new Hot Wheels scooter.
The boys digging in their stockings.
