Rockport for the weekend

I had a Saturday night off so Robert could hang out with his brother David while he was in town for his bachelor party (which was 1 week long, but that is another story).
Anyway, I decided to take the boys down to Rockport to visit my grandpa and brother. My dad was also down there for the weekend, so we all got to have a little fun.

Papa attempted to do a little pier fishing with Truett one evening. Well, it was definitely fishing ADD style. Truett would cast his reel, then immediately say "well, the fish aren't here, let's move to another spot". And that is what Truett did. He moved back and forth and up and down the pier for about 30minutes and then he was done fishing...and of course did not ever catch one fish.

We hung out at Rockport beach and Jeff took us for a boat ride in his new boat. The boys enjoyed driving the boat, but once we went out in the bay and the water got a little rough, Truett was scared and squeezing my arm so tight I lost feeling in my fingers.
But we got to dig in the sand, build some sand castles, fly a kite and attempt to ride the waves a little, although the waves at Rockport Beach are quite small. It was still fun hanging out at the beach.

Truett and Owen picked some wild flowers when we went exploring around Grandpa's house. Truett has been obsessed with not touching bluebonnets since I told him it was against the law. He is so upset about the fact that an animal might mess up some bluebonnets and get in trouble with the police. I had a lot of explaining to do with that one!

Grandpa got a lesson in the PSP from Truett. Since he is 85 years old, I am sure he has seen some technology advances in his time!
