Bathtub Fun

So Truett and Owen had a big time with spray foam soap. As you can tell, both of them got very clean that night!

Lakehouse Fun

We went out to JZ's lakehouse for some pre-thanksgiving fun. The kids played in the lake-- which was freezing cold, and we had a fondue party. The kids seemed to like the chocolate better than the cheese. I ate a ton of all of it. Then on the beach, Truett was the bad guy chasing everyone. You can see him with his "spear" and he looks very LORD OF THE FLIES running after everyone. And JZ told a story about some turkey hunters that come and take your thanksgiving turkey so you are left without any turkey for thanksgiving dinner. So all the kids were concerened about the bird, and it's whereabouts. We had a lot of fun in Sandy Harbor!

Walking with Dinosaurs

We went to the Walking with Dinosaurs show on Saturday, Nov. 21st. It was a bunch of HUGE animatronic dinosaurs walking around while a palientologist told the story of the different era's. The boys loved it. The dinosaurs made growls and grunts and noises like I assume they actually did, and Truett just growled right back, and told the T-Rex to "go away big guy". Owen was actually a little scared at first, but not Truett.

Karate Belt Test- Thursday 11/19/09

Truett had his belt test for his karate class. He did really well. Except when I would get out of my seat to get a better picture of him, he would yell out at me-- GO BACK TO CHAIR MOM! His friend Artie went with us, and kept saying, "I could do karate Suzy." Anyway, Truett earned a stripe on his belt. If I had paid the 40 bucks and had him go to a karate tournament, he could have moved up to a white belt with a yellow stripe. Oh well, maybe next session...

Baby Jackson

So Mimi and Baby Jackson came over for a while. Truett liked hanging out with the little dude. And Jackson really is a good baby. I don't think I ever heard him cry. He might have squeaked a little, but that was it. And Truett really like it when I referred to him as the babysitter.

Purple Tornado Soccer Party

We had Owen's soccer team party at our house last night. It is the end of the season for the purple tornadoes, and everyone celebrated with pizza and cookies. The trophy this season was a bobble-head style, which I am told the head can pop off it is "bobbled" too much. Anyway- everyone seemed to have fun, and I was surprised that noone fell into the pool-- since all the boys were running around wild and crazy.

The kittens are settling in.

So JuJu Bee is still pretty skittish (sp?) and Peterson can howl out loud like a mountain lion, but is seems like every day they get a little more comfortable in our house. And as for Skippy Jon Jones, she seems to be coming around. At least she has stopped hiding upstairs.

Owen lost his 1st Tooth!

So Owen's tooth has been loose for a couple of weeks and tonight he let Robert finally pull it out. It was barely hanging on and I was afraid it would fall out and he would eat it. He was so excited, and couldn't quit talking about the tooth fairy, and what she looked like, and if she was big or small. And then he said he couldn't wait to show Ms. Hendrix (his teacher).

Trick-Or-Treating and Halloween FUN!

Playing "Hot Pumpkin" and Dangling Donuts was fun. The idea was for the kids to eat the donut without using their hands, and Truett ran up and kissed each donut before the game started, spreading his scooby germs all over the place.

JZ the witch and Daphne.

Here is whole gang: Scooby, Fred (Artie), Velma (Mazzy), Shaggy, and Daphne. We went to JZ's for some party fun and then trick-or-treating in Hyde Park. Truett would take candy from the bowls with both fists, and punched the gargoyle decoration statue's. He was wild, and thought he needed to "punch the bad guys".

So Truett was Scooby Dooby Doo, and Owen was Shaggy for halloween. Owen was mad because he didn't want to wear the beard. He pouted for a bit, but got over it. And Truett was BURSTING at the seams with excitement to be Scooby.
